Student Feedback

Following are comments I received from students while I was teaching at SCU. These comments were made anonymously from students studying online and/or on campus and part of the Unit Feedback survey taken at the end of each unit studied. Consequently I have no idea who has made each comment.

• George was great at responding to my emails - even on a Sunday!
• George is wonderful and very cooperative with my outside of Uni commitments. I had a great experience in the unit
• I really enjoyed this thought-provoking unit - it certainly touched on some very real ethical issues which we need to be considering.
• George really brought this topic to life, thank you.

• George is always available (often at short notice) to email and skype which is very important and for online students and much appreciated. It is great to have at least one tutor per unit who is readily available in your time of need.
• Yes, George has provided real life perspectives on what it's like to work in the industry, what's expected and his answers to questions don't just involve the unit but post-graduate perspectives in the industry.
• George didn't exactly teach lectures in this unit, however, when I queried him about marking, he was very informative and precise, he made a personalised video just for my learning to explain concepts. Excellent.

• There is plenty of online guidance in this unit. Coupled with George Coles frequent emails with guidance tools, I have found this unit to be very good in terms of guidance in all available online forums.

• George Coles videos were jammed packed with information. In his lecture videos he covers all aspects of the industry and probably doesn't leave anything out. It does get a bit intense to go through the whole video at once sometimes but at least you know his videos are comprehensive.
• George's videos and support on working through the assignments criteria has given me confidence to better understand the application of this material in a practical setting.
• The unit is of very high Quality, and Dr George is very engaging and makes any unit great.
• Yes, the course moderators were super helpful ... specially George, he has been a superstar in giving clear feedback and insights.

• Dr George was Excellent with his recordings. Imparted information very specifically and in a nice manner.
• The recorded focus on assignment videos, that George Coles has recorded, are a fantastic source of information to ensure that objectives and performance standards are clear and concise. Further, PERCI, the extra reading, and answers from SCU lecturers in the discussion board are fantastic.

• I don’t think I could have managed the unit without Dr George as my tutor lecturer. Excellent emails and his recordings were brilliant and highly relevant.

• Follow up from George to send me an interesting paper relevant to my industry and in following up to my first assignment was really appreciated and was above my expectation for continued learning in this unit.
